Permanent traffic order

Notice is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council

(Saighton area) (Speed limits) Order 2018

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a 50 mph speed limit on the following lengths of road:
  • Chester Lane/Sandy Lane, Huntington/Saighton – from a point 340 metres south-east of its junction with B5130 Chester Road to a point 329 metres north of its junction with Saighton Lane/Chapel Lane; 
  • Saighton Lane, Saighton – from its junction with A41 Whitchurch Road to a point 120 metres north-east of its junction with Millfield Lane;
  • Black Dog Lane, Saighton – from its junction with Saighton Lane to its junction with A41 Whitchurch Road; and 
  • Platt’s Lane, Saighton – from its junction with Chapel Lane to its junction with A41 Whitchurch Road.
The Order will also consolidate existing speed limits.

Full details are in the draft Order which, together with a plan showing the extents of the proposal may be examined at the Council Offices, Ground Floor Reception, The Forum, Chester between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 21 December 2018 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made. Any representations made should specify the title of the Order and may become available for public inspection.
