Temporary traffic regulation: Chester - Various roads (Duke of Westminster Memorial)

Temporary traffic regulation

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit traffic on the followings roads in Chester because of the likelihood of danger to the public for the Duke of Westminster Memorial at Chester Cathedral between Sunday 27 November and Monday 28 November 2016. 

The following lengths of road will be closed from 6pm on 27 November for a maximum duration of 24 hours:
  • Northgate Street from Princess Street to Eastgate Street
  • St Werburgh Street, full length.
  • Eastgate Street, full length
  • Foregate Street from Eastgate Street to Love Street
  • St John Street, full length
The following lengths of road will be closed from 7am on 28 November for a maximum duration of 11 hours:
  • Bridge Street from 6m north of Feathers Lane to Watergate Street
  • Watergate Street, from Bridge Street to Nicholas Street
  • Northgate Street from Canal Street to Princess Street
  • Hunter Street from its junction with Hunters Walk to its westerly end.
The notice will also close the following length of footpath from 6am on 28 November for a maximum duration of 12 hours: 
  • City Walls from Bell Tower Walk to steps near Frodsham Court
The notice will also suspend parking on the following lengths of road from 3pm on 27 November for a maximum duration of 27 hours: 
  • St Werburgh Street, full length, 
  • Eastgate Street from St Werburgh Street to Foregate Street
  • Hunter Street from its junction with Hunters Walk to its westerly end.
  • Lower Bridge Street from Duke Street to Old Dee Bridge 
  • City Road (east side) from Station Road to Queens Road
  • Station Road (north east side) from its south-easterly end for a distance of 45 metres in a north-westerly direction
Pedestrian access to premises situated on or adjacent to the roads will be maintained at all times.

The promoter of this event is Cheshire Police.
