Temporary prohibition of pedestrians

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council in its capacity as Highway Authority intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following length of road (footway and carriageway) because of the likelihood of danger to the public following a collapse of a section of wall adjoining the highway.  

Liverpool Road, Chester east side footway (plus the full width of the carriageway), north of Victoria Crescent between the rear of numbers 1 to 17 Victoria Court.

The Order will come into force on 27 August 2018 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen (18) months or until works have been carried out to repair the wall have been completed, whichever is the earlier. 

The diversionary route is via pedestrian crossings on Liverpool Road and the west side footway.
