Permanent traffic order

Notice is hereby given that Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council propose to make the following Traffic Regulation Order in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

(St Anne Street and George Street, Chester) (Street parking places) Order 2018


The effect of the Order will be to extend the operational times of the following designated parking places so that they operate between 8am and 9pm (Monday to Sunday):
  • George Street (south side) - from the boundary between properties 20 and 20A George Street for a distance of 44 metres in an easterly direction. The proposed parking place will enable motor vehicles displaying valid residents’ parking permits to be left for an unlimited period of time. 
  • St Anne Street (south side) from a point 9 metres east of its junction with Victoria Road for a distance of 35 metres in an easterly direction.  The proposed parking place will enable motor vehicles displaying valid residents’ parking permits to be left for an unlimited period of time.  Any motor vehicle may be left in the designated parking place for a period not exceeding 10 minutes.
Full details are contained in the Order, which, together with a plan showing the location and effect of the Order, may be examined at the Council Offices Ground Floor Reception, The Forum, Chester, between the hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.

All objections and other representations relating to the Order must be made in writing to the undersigned by 30 March 2018 and objections must specify the grounds on which they are made.
