 Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to residential property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Whitby
  • Palm Grove – Property entered through insecure door and laptop taken from kitchen counter.
  • Woodbank Road – Entry gained into rear garden by insecure gate.  Kitchen window forced.  Handbag removed and found on pathway.  Believed offenders have been disturbed and made off without taking anything else.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Harewood Avenue – Front opening section of window completely removed.  Cash taken from within with offender/s leaving via back door. 
Incidents reported relating to outbuildings/garden:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Rossmore
  • Church Street – Lock removed from garage.  Unsure what items have been taken at this time. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Neston
  • Chester High Road – Entry gained into rear garden and insecure chicken coop accessed. 4 chickens taken leaving 2 in coop.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Spunhill Avenue – Hinges removed from shed door and Whyte Cambridge hybrid bike taken from within.
  • Sutton
  • Hardy Close – Report received of males in garage area to rear of the Close trying to break into garages – Male arrested.
Criminal Damage 
 Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Lane – Front upper floor bedroom window, in new build smashed by unknown object.
  • Central Avenue – Outer pane of double glazed window smashed by unknown means.
  • Conway Court – Front window of ground floor flat smashed with brick.
  • Newton Road – Door lock super glued.
  • Whitby
  • Whitby Hall – Numerous incidents of arson reported throughout this reports time period.  An attempt made to set alight a wooden advertising board.  When this has failed bunting has been used to light a fire. Damage has also been caused to the plastic doorbell set and light above the main door by being set alight.  Building in communal garden area set alight causing it to be completely destroyed.
  • Rossmore
  • Percival Road – Locks to front door super glued – repeat incident. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Benty Heath Lane – Security camera at front gate smashed – CCTV shows 2 offenders on motorcycle.
  • Sutton
  • Seacombe Drive – Windows smashed on storage building connect to school.
 Vehicle Crime
 Incidents reported relating to theft/attempt theft of motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Exeter Road – Jinlun motorcycle, PF08 RUY, parked at kerb side on residential street wheeled into alleyway where an unsuccessful attempt has been made to start it. Damage caused to ignition and headlight.
  • Rossmore
  • John Nicholas Crescent – Honda CBR 125, YJ06 YVK, taken from car park area of ‘the Lock Project’ – Located a short distance away.

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt theft from motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Chester High Road – Fiat Ducato, parked ion car park of Gordale Nursery entered by unknown means.  Personal items and power tools taken from within.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – Volvo horse box entered via jockey door to side.  Large quantity of horse tack taken.
  • Chester High Road – Citroen Berlingo, parked on Leahurst campus has rear door window smashed and rucksack and laptop taken from within.
  • St. Pauls
  • Childer Crescent – VW Polo has front registration plate, displaying PF64 OTZ and aerial taken.
  • Sutton
  • Ascot Drive – Vauxhall Adam has nearside window smashed and handbag, containing cash taken from within. 
Incidents reported relating to damage to motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Compton Place – Vauxhall Corsa, parked on driveway has bricks thrown at it causing damage to the front, rear and drivers side windows.  Offensive comment scratched in passenger door. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • St. Pauls
  • Romily Road – VW Polo scratched with an unknown implement along offside door.
Other incidents of note 
 ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Farm Foods – 2 males, wearing bike crash helmets, gloves and jackets smashed their way into the office.  Keys taken from staff and quantity of cash taken.  Made off on a motorcycle which showed as having been stolen in March 2014.
