Community News

Officers attended the Poynton Bonfire and Firework display on Saturday 7th November. They assisted Poynton Round Table providing reassurance to the attending community and surrounding neighbourhood. The event was enjoyed by all and passed with no incidents or disorder.

Officers held a Traffic Operation on Wednesday 25th November targeting disqualified drivers. A number of vehicles were stop checked all drivers checked were in order.


Vehicle and Property Crime

Overnight 31st October – 1st November a fence panel was damaged on a property on Yew Tree Lane. Crime number 0715326275 refers.

Overnight 1st - 2nd November wheels were removed from a vehicle parked on the forecourt of SPHERE motors, London Road, Adlington. If you saw anything suspicious that night call us on 101 quoting crime number 0715327613.

Overnight 2nd - 3rd November a garage was broken into on London Road North and garden equipment was stolen. Incident 542 3/11/15 refers.

Overnight 2nd - 3rd November – Stones were thrown at a greenhouse on Beech Crescent causing several glass panes to be broken. Crime number 0715328478.

Overnight 3rd - 4th November 2 sheds were entered at properties on Chester Road and a push bike was stolen. Please ensure that your sheds are locked and if possible alarmed.

Overnight 3rd - 4th November a vehicle was entered by unknown means on Chester Road and an untidy search made. Nothing was taken. Please REMEMBER to always lock your vehicles when left unattended.

On 4th November an Asian male was seen taking 2 coats from Susie Blues on Park Lane and left in a blue Vauxhall Zafira. If you witnessed the theft please call us on 101 and quote incident 434 4/11/15.

On 4th November around 19.30 hours a Land Rover’s rear window was removed on Towers Road. The offender was disturbed as the vehicle alarm sounded. Incident 917 4/11/15 refers.

Overnight 7th - 8th November approximately 60 curtain side trailers were damaged in Adlington Business Park. Offenders have used a sharp implement to slice open the trailers. Do you know who is responsible? Did you see anyone acting suspiciously in the area? Call us on 101 and quote Crime Number 0715334383.

Overnight 11th - 12th November a stable block was broken into on Shrigley Road North. Incident 107 12/11/15 refers.

Overnight 15th - 16th November a catalytic converter was stolen from a Mercedes Van parked on London Road South. Crime Number 0715342503 refers.

On 24th November around 1am in the morning we have been made aware that 4 males were seen carrying a dead deer to a van on London Road North. The males were also with lurcher type dogs. If you were part of this group or witnessed this incident please call us on 101 quoting incident 235 24/11/15.

Overnight 29th-30th November we have had reports of several thefts from motor vehicles. It is possible that these vehicles may have been left insecure. Please make sure that your vehicles are locked and secure overnight and that no valuables including Christmas presents are left in view in your vehicle.

Other news

Over the month one driver has been arrested for failing a roadside breath test and another driver had a long walk home after his vehicle was seized for no insurance.
