Vehicle Crime - opportunist thieves

Alert message sent 30/01/2016 14:14:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Your local PCSO - 20378 Chris Carr has asked this message be sent out to the Ditton area in response to a recent increase in vehicle crime. Ordinarily the vehicle crime has been sporadic but over the last few days we have seen a number of offences in the areas of Lodge Road, Hall Avenue, Mayfield Avenue and Ditchfield Road whereby the car number plates have been stolen (Lodge Rd) or the vehicles have been entered and searches made of the vehicles.
Please ensure vehicles are left secured and do not leave items on display.

Please report anything suspicious such as persons or noises that you can't account for, especially during the hours of darkness. The non-emergency telephone number is 101 and 999 for all emergencies.

If you have been the victim of car (or any other) crime and have not reported this we are asking that you do so that we can gather as much evidence as possible in relation to these offences.

If you have any information regarding any crimes or suspects please do give us a call on 101 or, if you prefer to remain anonymous, please try the charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111
