 Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to residential property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • West Vale – Unsuccessful attempt to gain entry to property via rear door leaving lock damaged.
  • St. Pauls
  • Heath Lane – Entry gained into property after forcing entry to side door of integral garage. Untidy search made and laptops, handbag, wallet, keys and Black Trek Hybrid taken. – Keys later found in nearby hedge.
  • Clayhill Green – 2 separate properties targeted during early morning.  At one property a male disturbed trying to gain entry through ground floor bedroom window which had been left open. At another property entry has been gained via rear conservatory and a Samsung mobile phone and purse taken.  Home owner disturbed offender who made off.
  • Sutton
  • Mostyn Way – Entry gained via insecure rear door.  Offender disturbed by home owner and makes off from the property with an Apple 4 IPhone. – Male arrested.
  • Overpool Road – Entry gained by smashing rear patio window.  Search made within and quantity of cash and keys to BMW 135, DF16 EJJ taken, along with the vehicle – Vehicle recovered parked up in Woodvale Road, Rivacre. 
Incidents reported relating to business premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Rossmore
  • Telford Quay – Window on ground floor of ‘The Galley’ restaurant smashed to gain entry.  Alcohol taken from the ground floor.  Access gained to first floor area office where safe, CCTV hard drive and float for tills are taken.  
Incidents reported relating to outbuildings/garden:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester High Road – Door to shed at Nursing Home prised open and sit on mower has been taken.  Offender/s have cut through the boundary hedge and fencing, leading onto car park area to exit with the mower.
  • St. Pauls
  • Clayhill Green – (same morning period as burglaries) 2 properties have had their shed targeted.  In the first a Marin Mountain bike has been taken from an insecure shed – this was located abandoned near to the flats on Queens Road after the owner put a post onto ‘Pride in the Port. In the second incident a padlock was removed from the shed door.  An untidy search made but nothing appears to have been taken before the offender has left, leaving the padlock on the ground.
Criminal Damage

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • West Road – Front window at property smashed by unknown means.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Upper toughened galls panel at door of ‘The Groves Sports & Social Club’ damaged by unknown means. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
 
  • Neston
  • The Cross – Rear window of residence of ‘Brown Horse Public House’ smashed by a rock thrown by an unknown male.
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Front display window of ladies clothes shop has outer pane of glass shattered by unknown means.
  • Sutton
  • Kendal Drive – Outer pane of glass window above front door smashed by unknown means.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Ceiling light in communal hall way smashed by unknown means.
  • Mallory Road – Cat shot in head with pellet gun. – Although cat required operation is now believed to be making a good recovery.
Theft 
  Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Ledsham Road – IPhone mobile phone removed from table in ‘Travellers Rest Public House’ by unknown means.
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Black and orange Barracuda bike, left in bike rack within secure compound ground of Vauxhall Motors taken.
Vehicle Crime 
  Incidents reported relating to theft/attempt theft of motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Sutton
  • Overpool Road – BMW 135, DF16 EJJ taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle recovered parked up in Woodvale Road, Rivacre.

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt theft from motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • West Vale – 4 vehicles, Ford Fiesta, Vauxhall Astra, Skoda Yeti and other vehicle, all parked in row at road side entered by unknown means.  Liquid similar to fairly liquid squirted all over the interior of the vehicles and hand brakes taken off causing some of the vehicles to move.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Berwick Road West – Iveco panel van, parked in car park of Mercure hotel entered by damaging rear lock.  Quantity of work tools taken from within. 
Incidents reported relating to damage to motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Toyota Corolla has rear drivers side window smashed by unknown means.
  • Rossmore
  • Edward Street – Vauxhall Corsa has nearside rear window smashed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Neston
  • Liverpool Road – Renault Megane travelling under road bridge has windscreen shattered by brick thrown from the bridge.
