Alert message sent 31/07/2016 17:01:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hello to residents on The Grange,
Its been a good month on The Grange, not only is it now Summer Holidays but incidents are reduced from last year and even more on the year before!
Here is an update on some of what we believe are the more important issues which have occurred in your area.

There has been a reduction in Crime in your area.

Burglary – One burglary in a dwelling reported.  Although there have not been any shed or garage burglaries in your area, please make sure that you keep your valuables secure at all times.

Public Order – incidents involving aggressive behaviour have been reported on separate occasions and there have been arrests following persons acting in an aggressive manner in a public place.  This behaviour is not acceptable and the police will prosecute whenever possible.

Thefts – There has been one shoplifting reported.  This is again a reduction on previous months.

Driving offences – we have received information from members of the public about drivers who are possibly under the influence of alcohol or drugs on a number of occasions or driving illegally.  We are grateful for this information and ask that the calls continue, if you think someone is driving a vehicle whilst under the influence.  You could be saving lives.
Anti-Social Behaviour
There have been a number of reports of anti-social behaviour in the area.  Some of the incidents include youths climbing on buildings, mainly the shops.  Please advise your children about the dangers of climbing on to roofs as not all of them will be stable or able to take the weight.

Operation Tacca will be running throughout the School Holidays and we will be encouraging children to take part in activities provided by the Community Safety Team.  We are also encouraging children to go to parks and nearby open spaces to have fun.
Information and Intelligence
Please continue to provide us with information about any illegal activities you believe are happening in your local area.  You are our eyes and ears!
