 Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to residential property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Home owner disturbed by dogs barking at 3am.  Found 2 handbags have been taken after entry was gained through a small window.  An unsuccessful attempt was made at 4am to withdraw cash from the atm at the ‘Murco’ Petrol Station at the Strawberry Roundabout. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Grasmere Road – 2 coats removed from an unlocked porch.
  • St. Pauls
  • Eccleston Avenue – Ground floor kitchen window forced open causing damage to the window mechanics.  2 glass bottles have then been removed from the window sill but entry not believed to have been gained.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Entry gained into communal area of flats whereby offender/s have smashed through front door, breaking the top half and leaving the lower half insitu to gain entry into flat. Search made within the flat but nothing is believed to have been taken.
  • Sutton Way – Entry gained via an insecure door.  Untidy search made within and an Xbox 1 taken. 
Incidents reported relating to business premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Offender/s have approached the fire exit door of the ‘Ellesmere Port Sports Village’ breaking the window, which has set off the alarm.  The building has been entered and untidy search has been made of a store room.  Nothing has been taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Dock Street – Entry gained into ‘Horse and Jockey’ PH by unknown means where the till has been forced and cash taken from within. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Neston Road – Entry gained into ‘Wheatsheaf’ PH by forcing lock on side door.  First floor landing office area entered and quantity of cash taken. – CCTV shows 2 unknown male offenders using a dark coloured Vauxhall Vectra saloon leave the area in the direction of Burton.
  • Raeburn Avenue – After hearing noises during the early hours of the morning the home owner has looked out of the window to see a male pushing their bike out of an insecure shed.  Upon challenging the male he has run off into the alley, getting onto another bike, with a squeaky wheel before riding away.
  • Parkgate
  • Station Road – 2 unknown male offenders have accessed the ‘Old Quay’ PH, possibly via a window which has been unscrewed.  Once inside they had attacked the gaming machines and removed cash. Footage shows them leaving the area in a saloon motor vehicle in the direction of the town centre. 
Incidents reported relating to outbuildings/garden:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marlborough Road / South Road / Richmond Court / Gorton Road – Over varying time periods unknown offender/s have gained access to a number of locked substations and removed a quantity of copper cabling from each. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Parkgate
  • Church Lane – Door to shed prized open and green Bosche electric lawnmower and orange electric hedge trimmer taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor 
  • Adam Avenue - Over varying time periods unknown offender/s have gained access to a number of locked substations and removed a quantity of copper cabling from each.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – Padlocks cut from an outside container at ‘Brook Meadow’ Hotel.  Lawn mower, hedge cutter and chain saw taken from within.
  • Sutton
  • Pooltown Road – Offender/s have gained entry into an outbuilding at ‘Whitby House Care Home’ by smashing a hole into the roof.  Fresh and frozen food taken.
Criminal Damage

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Park Road – Male youth, within group sets alight a piece of cardboard which has then been thrown into the front garden of a residential property setting a conifer tree on fire.
  • Oldfield Road – Offender has entered rear alleyway to property and then using black paint painted over the existing house number.
  • Rossmore
  • Westminster Road – Single glazed window of ground floor flat smashed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Capenhurst Lane – Unknown male smashed the glass panel in the telephone kiosk.
  • Flint Meadow – Damage caused to gate post whilst males observed lifting a mini moto over it. – Males made off but mini moto seized by Police.
Theft 

Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Rossmore
  • Lower Mersey Street – Vending machine in staff area within ‘Holiday Inn’ has an unsuccessful attempt made to force entry.
  • Church Street – Green childs bike, done up to look like a motorbike with a shield on the front and one stabiliser taken from the front garden.
Vehicle Crime
  Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt theft from motor vehicles:

 ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stanney Lane – Audi A3, parked on residential street has wing mirror taken from vehicle after cutting electrical cables attaching it to the vehicle.
  • Newnham Drive – Honda Accord has front registration plate, displaying PE04 ENU and a dust cap taken from the vehicle.
  • Telford Road – Front and rear registration plates, bearing DX52 WAA taken from a Ford Mondeo Zetec which had been left parked up at the ‘Ellesmere Port Garage Services’.
  • Rugby Road – Vauxhall Insignia, parked on the driveway of a residential property has damage caused to the boot lock in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.  
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Dunstan Lane – Mobile phone, handbag and purse taken from an insecure BMW.
  • Parkgate Road – Secure VW Transported, parked on car park of ‘Craxton Wood’ Hotel found to have damage to the lock in an unsuccessful attempt to gain entry.
  • Parkgate
  • The Parade – Secure Ford Focus, parked in car park next to the ‘Boathouse’ PH has rear window smashed and handbag bag taken. – Handbag located on nearby bridle path minus keys and driving license. 
Incidents reported relating to damage to motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Harlech Court – Audi A3 has all 4 tyres slashed.
  • Cheshire Oaks – BMW X3, parked on car park near to the ‘Nike’ is scratched to rear near side door.
  • Rossmore
  • Crescent Road – Unknown female has walked up to the front window with a can of paint and then proceeded to flick paint over the window. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Station Road – Ford Mondeo, parked at roadside has the front near side door dented by an unknown offender kicking it.
  • Parkgate
  • Maelors Weint – Vauxhall Corsa has denting caused to roof, bonnet and boot lid by group of males. – 4 named suspects.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Foxhall Way – A Fiat Panda and Fiat 500, parked on residential driveway have both rear tyres slashed. – Male arrested.
  • Kenwick Close – a number of vehicles have damage caused by male offender as they have travelled along the road. A Vauxhall Corsa has the front passenger tyre slashed, a BMW Mini has both front tyres slashed and Ford Focus has the paint work around the entire vehicle scratched as well as a rear tyre slashed. – Male arrested. Same male as involved in the Foxhall Way incident.
  • St. Pauls
  • Overpool Road – BMW 325 has both rear tyres slashed.
