Message from Handbridge Park Officer PCSO Fox

Below is a brief outline of the crimes that have been reported around the Handbridge Park Ward between 17/09/16 and 26/09/16 which are of interest or have an effect on the local communities

Curzon Park North Overnight - 20/09-21/09 – Theft from Garage – 2 * Bikes stolen – Opened bolt on garage door to gain entry.

Marlston Avenue – Overnight 22/09-23/09 – Shed burglary – 2 * Bikes stolen -  Unscrew locked door

Wrexham Road – 12/09 – 24/09 – Ladders stolen from rear of address – Reports of male previously snooping around the address who when approaches asked if hedges needed cutting.

Dolphin Court, Curzon Park – 24/09 – Theft of Vehicle registration plates.
Merton Drive, Westminster Park – Overnight 24/09 – 25/09 – Secured bikes stolen of roof rack of vehicle.

Please ensure that you have good quality security on garages and sheds that contain bikes or other high value products. I would suggest that you have decent sturdy strong locks on garages and sheds and also consider putting a shed alarm on sheds as the noise these can make can alert you or scare a potential burglar away if they are trying to break into your shed. It is clear that push bikes are a target to be stolen, so please make sure that these are locked away in secure places, preferably with a high quality lock to something that it would be incredibly difficult to move. Please be alert around your local areas to people snooping around properties or doing anything that looks suspicious and call 101 if you have any concerns.

Please contact us on e mail christopher.fox@cheshire.pnn.police.uk or 101 if you have any issues to report or want to provide any information on people committing criminal activities in your local area.
