Alert message sent 12/10/2016 08:36:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

We have had several reports in the last few weeks of property being stolen from sheds and garages. The stolen items reported range from power tools, fishing equipment and bicycles.
These kinds of items are very attractive to thieves and should not be left on show if possible.
Consider security marking your items or even recording serial numbers as stolen items can sometimes be recovered at a later stage and we sometimes struggle to identify the owners.
Please review your security measures as the dark nights draw in and consider increasing them by getting security lights or even just making sure you have locked your shed/garage.
Shed alarms are quite in-expensive / easy to install
and will hopefully deter any thieves once the alarm is activated.
If you witness any suspicious activity in your area please call 101 with any information and help us to help you.
