The Grange - October Update

Alert message sent 01/11/2016 12:43:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hello everyone,

Another month has flown by! Although Halloween is now over we are busy planning for Bonfire Night. The vast majority of children and families enjoyed a great Halloween, however there were several incidents of anti-social behavior. We request that children do not congregate in large groups in public areas and instead enjoy organised events and activities on Bonfire Night.

There have been numerous incidents of anti-social behaviour at Town Hall Park, where a number of youths have thrown fireworks into the road. Patrols have actively targeted this area and will continue to do so in the run up to Bonfire Night. Several youths have been arrested for this and one has already been to court, receiving a 3 month referral order.

A number of residents made us aware of rubbish and debris gathering at The Croft Pub, which may have been used for a bonfire. We are pleased to say this has all been collected and the area cleaned up. Please contact Halton Borough Council to report any other areas in order to get rubbish removed, or message me back via Cheshire ALERT.

In other news, there is now a Stryker Camera in position around Cotton Lane and Davenport Row, which will be used to reduce the amount of anti-social behaviour and bonfire related issues.
Also a successful drugs warrant was carried out on Festival Way as we continue to crack down on drug-related activities.

Thank-you for your much valued co-operation and thanks for reading,

PC Alex Beddard
