Ellesmere Port - Detected Burglaries

A 20 year old male from Ellesmere Port was arrested on 31/10/16 for  Burglary dwelling.
 
Following an investigation by the ‘Ellesmere Port BIT Team' he was charged with the following offences:-

 
  1. Burglary Dwelling at:- 19 CLYDESDALE, WHITBY , ELLESMERE PORT – 18/10/2016
  2. Burglary other than dwelling at 20 PARK DRIVE, WHITBY, ELLESMERE PORT – 18/10/2016
  3. Theft from Motor Vehicle at 20 PARK DRIVE, WHITBY, ELLESMERE PORT – 18/10/2016
  4. Burglary dwelling at: 140 PARKLANDS, ELLESMERE PORT  - 20/10/16
  5. Unauthorised theft of Motor Vehicle at: 140 PARKLANDS, ELLESMERE PORT 20/10/16
  6. Burglary dwelling at:- 38 BRIARDALE ROAD, ELLESMERE PORT 20/10/16
  7. Theft of Motor Vehicle at:- 38 BRIARDALE ROAD, ELLESMERE PORT  20/10/16
  8. Burglary dwelling at: 15 BRIARDALE ROAD, ELLESMERE PORT 20/10/16
 
 
He has been remanded in custody at Chester Magistrates on 01/11/2016
 

Many burglars are opportunists, so taking appropriate steps both in and around your home will help prevent you becoming a victim of crime.

· Use automatic timers to switch on lights when you are out.
· Fit outdoor lights with  movement sensors.
· Keep valuables out of sight of windows.
· Close and lock all doors/windows when you go out - removing keys.
· Keep keys out of sight.
· Lock all side and rear gates.
· Have an alarm fitted and make sure it is working correctly.
