Halton Brook Update

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hello everyone,

I would firstly like to thank everyone in the area for their cooperation and assistance over the period of Halloween and Bonfire Night. With the help of residents the weekend has been a success with the majority of people enjoying themselves responsibly.
In previous years, the nights before Halloween have been particularly problematic with anti-social behaviour and I would like to thank everyone for their support to help to prevent the same type of issues this year.

In other news, we have been working with the housing and council in the area of Castle Rise to have some motorbike gates fitted to the pathways and some maintenance done on the park area. The local residents recently raised some concerns surrounding the park being overgrown and over people using bikes inappropriately which will be better controlled with the new barriers.
We would continue to ask the residents to support us in resolving the issues with off-road motorbikes so if you have information you wish to pass please get in touch confidentially by calling 101 or contacting Crimestoppers https://crimestoppers-uk.org/ or on 0800 555 111.

We have also been working closely with Grange School after reports of traffic issues and people using the facilities without permission, damaging the rear football pitch. These will continue to be monitored but reports of such behaviour have decreased.

Finally, we wanted to take this opportunity to let you know about a change to the beat management team for the area. Our new PCSO, Paul Barker, has now started and is currently getting settled in Runcorn and the Halton Brook area. He is keen to meet local residents and we are confident that he will be a great addition to the team.

Kind Regards
Halton Brook Beat Management Team
