Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
7th to 18th December 2016
 Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to residential property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Park Road – Entry gained via an insecure rear door.  32” TV taken – TV located hidden under a bush in the rear garden.
  • Grange Road – Entry gained by smashing front window.  Quantity of cash taken.
  • Arthur Avenue – Entry gained into property via a possibly insecure door.  Keys to a black Lexus GS300, V799 GNC taken along with the vehicle. Vehicle located A41, Hooton.
  • Whitby
  • Parkfield Drive – Side kitchen door and window forced to gain entry.  Untidy search made within.  Not known what has been taken at this time. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Burton Road – Two separate reports received for this road.  In the 1st the patio windows have been jemmied open and door unlocked using key which was still in the lock.  Untidy search made within.  Unknown at this time what items have been taken. In the 2nd an unsuccessful attempt has been made to jemmy open the patio windows causing damage to the frame.
  • Dunstan Lane – Entry forced into property via a side door. Tidy search made and a number of watches taken.  Keys to black Porsche Cayenne Turbo, G4 RYV taken along with the vehicle. – Vehicle located, abandoned a short time late in Shones Croft, Ness.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Briardale Road – Unsuccessful attempt made to force entry through rear patio doors.
  • Benty Heath Lane – Rear ground floor window forced to gain entry. Tidy search and quantity of jewellery taken.
  • Meadow Lane – Hole made into rear door to gain entry.  Jewellery and electronic items taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Rossmore Road East – Entry gained via insecure rear kitchen door.  Purse taken.  Entry also gained into insecure caravan and a bag of Christmas presents taken from within.
  • Sutton
  • Heather Close – 3 masked offenders have forced entry into the property after knocking at the front door.  Once inside one offender has kept the home owner in the lounge whilst the other 2 have searched the property.  Offenders have left with cash taken from the home owners purse.

  • Whitby
  • Underwood Drive – Entry gained into ‘Headquarters’ hair salon by smashing glass in door.  Hair straighteners and hair products taken from within. 
Incidents reported relating to outbuildings/garden:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Strawberry
  • Linden Close – Entry forced into 2 sheds.  Unknown if any items have been taken at this time.  Insecure petrol lawn mower also taken from within the garden.
  • Rossmore
  • Church Street – Insecure shed entered and white Muddy Fox mountain bike with front and rear suspension taken.
  • Worcester Walk – Entry gained into a caravan via window.  Search made within.  Offender disturbed by owner. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • St. Pauls
  • Walkers Lane – Entry gained into shed by forcing the padlock bracket off the door leaving padlock attached. 2 drills, skis, ski boots and storage container with ski clothing in taken.
Criminal Damage

Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Bamburgh Court – Outer pane of glass smashed by unknown object.
  • Princes Road – Rear kitchen window smashed.
  • Bodium Court – Lit firework put into porch causing burning to the carpet and blackening of the walls and door.
  • Hylton Court – Brick thrown through lounge window.
  • Whitby Road – Male offender has broken the arm and leg off a carver chair. – Male arrested. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • St. Pauls
  • Sutton Way – 2 fence panels to the rear of ‘Tesco’ damaged allowing access to the rear yard.
Theft
 Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Market Square – Insecure white Carrera Subway mountain bike, with pink under the seat taken from outside ‘Asda’.
  • Unattended handbag, left on café table at ‘Asda’ taken.
  • Whitby
  • Thamesdale – Quantity of copper cable removed from substation at some point over the past few months.
  • Strawberry
  • Coventry Avenue – Copper earthing removed from substation at some point over the past few months. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Neston
  • Brook Street – Insecure Apollo Paradox mountain bike taken from outside ‘Sainsburys’.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Change Lane – Rear garden entered and chain saw, cement mixer, Whacker plate, tool box and various tools taken from under a tarpaulin.
  • Netherpool
  • Naylor Road – Communal area to flats entered and plants, baby chair, spade and fork removed from 2nd floor hall area.
Vehicle Crime
  Incidents reported relating to theft/attempt theft of motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Arthur Avenue - Black Lexus GS300, V799 GNC taken after keys obtained during a burglary. Vehicle located A41, Hooton.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Dunstan Lane - Black Porsche Cayenne Turbo, G4 RYV taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle located, abandoned a short time late in Shones Croft, Ness.

Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt theft from motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Neston
  • Mayfield Gardens – LDV van, parked at roadside has the rear lock forced to gain entry.  Yellow Wolf petrol generator 2300 and red Henry hoover taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Berwick Road – Nissan Kubistar, parked on car park of ‘Mercure’ Hotel entered by smashing side window.  Quantity of tool taken from within the vehicle. 
Incidents reported relating to damage to motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Victoria Road – A number of vehicles parked on residential road have been scratched along the length of body work. 2 x Vauxhall Corsa, Vauxhall Insignia, Ford, Fiesta, BMW Mini, and a Volvo.
  • The Oval Peugeot 106 has wing mirror damaged. – Repeat victim.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester Road – Land Rover Discovery, parked near to the ‘Half Way’ public house has the rear windscreen smashed.
  • St. Pauls
  • Valley View – Front windscreen of Skoda smashed by unknown means.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Peugeot 307 has the rear windscreen smashed by an unknown offender whilst parked outside ‘Madisons’.
