Theft from changing room at Ellesmere Port leisure centre
We have recently received a report of theft from a changing room within a local leisure centre within the Ellesmere Port area.  On this occasion a rucksack and two mobile phones had been left unattended on a bench whilst the owner had gone to use the toilet.

Thieves are opportunists, so taking appropriate steps will help prevent you from becoming a victim of crime.

  • Be discreet with your belongings, displaying expensive jewellery or electronic devices like mobile phones could attract unwanted attention.
  • Never leave your bags or other valuables unattended.
  • Use lockers provided.
  • Only take what you need. If you don’t need cash/cards – leave them at home.
  • If you are leaving your locker unattended, for however short a time, make sure it is locked.

It is your responsibility to look after your property – DON’T make it easy for a thief
