Burglary Prevention Tips

Alert message sent 13/02/2017 08:20:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

We have seen an increase in the number of burglaries, shed breaks and thefts of pedal cycles that have been reported in the Kingsway area recently. We are currently investigating all reported thefts and burglaries but there are steps you can take to minimise your chance of becoming a victim.

Please ensure that all valuable items, such as pedal cycles, are stored securely. Avoid storing valuable items in sheds or other insecure locations where possible. Ensure that keys or high value items are not visible from outside.

Security measure such as outside lighting, burglar alarms and even just ensuring your fences are in good condition can also help to deter burglars. Make sure to lock all doors and windows before going to bed.

By doing these few things, you can help to reduce the risk of becoming a victim of burglary. Even simple security measures can make a big difference
