Halton View Update

Alert message sent 28/02/2017 18:48:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Dear residents,
As your local beat officer I review each individual incident on a daily basis to highlight any issues which need to be looked at.
I also meet with residents at our drop in meetings at St Ambrose Church Hall which has been very popular in regards to reporting issues. It gives them a chance to speak face to face with myself and my PCSO for the area.

These incidents are then discussed at a beat manager meeting which takes place fortnightly to establish a resolution.
The good news is over the last few weeks there have been hardly any major issues in Halton View.
One problem which seems to be a regular one is neighbours having disputes over parking.
Please remember that you should never block access ie driveways to a property as this could result in your vehicle being removed which can end up very costly! Simple Parking issues can escalate into nasty neighbour disputes if not dealt with immediately.

There has been a spike in bike thefts in the Widnes area also, please always ensure that you take the appropriate safety measures and never leave a bike unattended as opportunist thieves will spot it a mile off!
A new trend seems to be bikes being stolen from School bike sheds, so please pass this information on to your schoolchild that their bikes will not always be safe at school.
We can offer Bike marking if required – please contact us and we will be happy to help.  And ALWAYS record your serial number and keep it somewhere safe as this can identify it if we locate it.

There was a report of a wheelie bin which had been set on fire on the skate ramp at Crowwood Park. We do not tolerate this sort of Anti-Social Behaviour and welcome any information in regards to any of this kind of behaviour occurring in your neighbourhood. Anti-Social Behaviour is a problem which is not acceptable and we deal with robustly.

Theft of number plates reported in Bellhouse Road area.

Two Cannabis farms were located in your area over the past few weeks and two males have been arrested.

Remember you can pass any information to us even anonymously by calling 101 or Crimestoppers, at your local community meetings and you even call into the station.
