and Castlefields Area
April 2017
As we continue into spring and the warmer months please be vigilant about making sure your sheds and outdoor storage is secured, historically around this time of year there will be an increase in shed breaks and gardening equipment going missing! In addition to this, when busy in the garden please ensure that you secure your front / back doors to ensure nobody sneaks into your address whilst you’re preoccupied cutting the lawn or tending to your flower beds!

Don’t forget that last month Cheshire police ‘The Herbert Protocol. We’re really keen to promote this this scheme as it is aimed at the welfare and safety of loved ones suffering from dementia and Alzheimer's. Further information can be found by clicking the following link

National stalking awareness week
Last week was the National Stalking awareness week and you may have seen some social media posts about it. Stalking is defined as:
"two or more incidents (causing distress, fear or alarm) of obscene or threatening unwanted letters or phone calls, waiting or loitering around home or workplace,
following or watching".
The Protection from Harassment Act 1997 was introduced because there was limited legal protection for victims who were upset and frightened by a series of disturbing incidents which fell short of being illegal. ‘Stalking’ was not specifically mentioned in the Act at that time, but it was designed to, and does cover many forms of harassment, including stalking and cyber stalking. Further information can be found by clicking the attached link however if you need help or advice please contact 101 to report incidents like this.
