Bogus callers and emails

Alert message sent 05/06/2017 17:04:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

There has been an increase in reports of people receiving bogus emails and telephone calls asking for monies to be sent or given, also for personal Bank Details.
Some of these emails can look very genuine and also the telephone caller can be very persuasive.

Please do not send any money or give out any Bank Details if you have any suspicion of the caller or email.
Always check with your Bank, Tax Office, etc first.

Call Cheshire Police on 101 if you have any concerns.
