Transit van break-ins

Macclesfield Local Policing Unit- Congleton

 

This is to inform you that unfortunately we have had a series of commercial work vans broken into across the West Heath and Lower Heath areas of Congleton. These incidents occurred over the 12th-13th September. If you own a work van please remove any tools which are of value when not in use. Vans have been broken into in the following locations: Chestnut Drive, Beech Close, Delamere Road, Tidnock Avenue, Leamington Road and West Road.

 

  1. Make sure windows and doors are locked
  2. Activate all security devices
  3. Always park your car in a safe, well-lit place and use a garage if possible
  4. Consider fitting lockable gates to drives
  5. Never leave your keys in any place where they can be reached through the letterbox with a hook and cane and out of plain sight
  6. If you have CCTV please check it for the times quoted above as it may help with lines of enquiry.
