Youths in Culcheth causing damage

Alert message sent 07/01/2018 12:17:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Dear Residents/Members of Culcheth, Glazebury & Croft.

The Police are receiving numerous reports over the last couple of weeks regarding a group of youths who are engaging in acts of criminal damage, public order and causing behavioural issues in the area.
The youths are damaging cars whether they are parked up and also seen throwing articles at passing vehicles on Warrington road/Common Lane.
This kind of behaviour appears to be progressing and intensifying over the Christmas period and yesterday 4 x reports were received of youths causing damage on Church lane as early as 3,45pm in full view of the nearby residents.

Youths were also seen on the roof of the Culcheth sports hall and Culcheth Primary school later that evening.
A metal pole was also placed on Common lane by these youths who appeared to make fun of the drivers that got out and attempted to move it off the road. This is unacceptable behaviour and also an arrestable offence.
Myself and the Local PCSO are making enquiries with these incidents and names have been provided whom may be responsible or associated with the youths whom seem to think that this kind of behaviour is acceptable.
We need your help also, to provide me with any information to identify who may be involved or present in this group.
Other youths in Culcheth who socialise in a respectful manner may well know who is associated with this specific group and I urge you to speak to your children who congregate in the village and gain any information you can from them. My email is listed below and will not be made public.
The youths have been described as wearing all black clothing with hoods up and consist of boys and girls. We have a very good idea who these youths are but need your help to collate further information to progress this to a satisfactory conclusion.

Regards
