Good News!

Earlier this month, two teenagers from Runcorn were dealt with in court for causing unnecessary suffering to a cat. Included within their punishment was an order that means they cannot own a cat for a period of 10 years. Court costs were also applied.

Once again we have had a number of repeat offenders. The B&M store has been targeted, a number of offenders have been identified and are being dealt with. We have recently dealt with a prolific repeat offender who has been kept in custody.

More reports this month so the team will be looking into this to check for any pattern.   

Any suspicious activity should be reported on 101.


Roads Policing

Tru-Cam enforcement (Speed awareness courses offered and, if appropriate, penalty points) will be taking place on a weekly basis.

We are keen over the coming months to try and advertise the introduction of Neighbourhood Watch schemes in Mersey area via the Cheshire Alert web page.

If any members of Cheshire Alert would like to set-up and become a coordinator of a watch scheme then we, as the police, will offer support and advice in any way we can. My e-mail is attached at the bottom of this newsletter and I look forward to hearing from anyone who wishes to set-up a scheme that we can get involved with.
