Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
20th to 24th August
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
 Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Neston Road – At around 2.10am on Wednesday 22nd August a black Kia Sedona reversed into ‘McColls Convenience Store’.  2 men got out of the vehicle and entered the store.  They then attempted to access the cash machine using an angle grinder.  After being unsuccessful in gaining entry to the machine they left in a dark coloured vehicle which had been parked nearby.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Marina Drive – Premises to rear of row of shops has small window broken.
  • Dover Drive – Ground floor window smashed.
  • Stokesay Court – Window smashed in front door.  No entry gained.
  • Whitby
  • Whitby Park – Damage to the roof with a hole being found in it. – CCTV footage shows 3 unknown youths climbing onto it during the early hours of the morning.
  • Birkett Avenue – Small home found in outer pane of double glazed window.  Possibly caused by a pellet gun. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Frobisher Road – Window in communal door smashed after for sale sign, located outside is smashed down. – Believed to be the same offenders / occurrence mentioned on previous bulletin where male offenders have been walked through area with a plank of wood – Male arrested.
  • Raby Park Road – Fencing hit causing damage to panel. - Believed to be the same offenders / occurrence mentioned on previous bulletin where male offenders have been walked through area with a plank of wood – Male arrested.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Braeside Close – Window smashed, leaving a small pellet sized hole.
  • Netherpool
  • Woolton Court – Group of youths have pulled over a tree which was then left blocking the pavement.
  • Sutton
  • Dolphin Crescent – Youths have entered ‘Meadow Primary’ school grounds and kicked over a wall.
  • Grange
  • The Boulevard – Gate kicked by unknown male causing damage. 
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Old Vicarage Road – Hedge cutter and charger, left on front of property taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Badger Bait - Ford Transit, YR58 FBV taken during the overnight period. – No further details at this time.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Jaguar XE has nearside window smashed to gain entry whilst parked on car park of ‘Ellesmere Port Golf Centre’.  Full set of Calloway golf clubs and bag taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Princes Road – Peugeot Partner has passenger window smashed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Frobisher Road – Suzuki Swift has wing mirror knocked off. – Believed to be the same offenders / occurrence mentioned on previous bulletin where male offenders have been walked through area with a plank of wood – Male arrested.
  • Raby Park Road – BMW, Ford and VW Golf all hit with an unknown object causing scratching and denting to bonnets. - Believed to be the same offenders / occurrence mentioned on previous bulletin where male offenders have been walked through area with a plank of wood – Male arrested.
  • St. Pauls
  • Sutton Way – Ford Focus, parked at roadside has windscreen smashed.
Other incidents of note…
  • Whitby Park – Group of youths set fire to duvet within the bushes near to the playground area.
