Ellesmere Port & Neston News Bulletin
1st to 9th September 2018  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Puddington Lane – Property currently under renovation entered after padlock securing door forced off.  Chopsaw and tins of paint stolen. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Bunbury Green – Shutters to rear of ‘Posh Nosh’ forced open and entry gained through the fire escape.  Safe taken. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wolverham Road – Insecure concrete outhouse entered. 2 Carrera mountain bikes, a Makita drill and circular saw taken.
  • Conway Court – Padlock cut off shed door to gain entry.  Boardman bike taken. 
  • Sutton
  • Wenlock Lane – Rear garden entered and lock broken on side door of garage to gain entry.  Red Raleigh mountain bike, Stihl petrol strimmer, Dewalt cordless drill and tent taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

Ellesmere Port Town
  • Snowden Road – Camera to rear of ‘Papa Johns’ damaged after youths have thrown bricks at it.
  • Princes Road – Outer pane of small front window smashed by stone thrown by unknown offender/s.
  • Dover Court – Window smashed by male. – Named suspect.
  • Whitby Road – 3 male youths banging on rear door to ‘Light of India’ causing damage.
  • Whitby
  • Chester Road – Pellets from pellet gun hit a window to a flat and the glass within the communal door causing damage.
  • Rossmore
  • Jacks Woods Avenue – 2 instances of damage to windows received. 
    • Windows of flat smashed. – Named suspect.
    • Partly opened window bent and moved causing damage. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Haddon Lane – Padlock to ‘Haddon Wood’ cut off.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Kinsey Road – Black Samsung S8 removed from pouch of pram by unknown person whilst shopping at Cheshire Oaks.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Rossmore
  • Grosvenor Wharf Road – Renault Clio, SE54 LZG, which had been parked in area, up on a jack due to a flat tyre, taken by unknown offender/s.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Volvo XC90 has boot window broken to gain entry. Shopping bags and jacket taken.
  • Whitby
  • Birkett Avenue – Peugeot 206 has front registration plate, showing DG52 XDC taken from vehicle.
  • Strawberry
  • Bangor Close – Entry gained into Mercedes C class by unknown means.  2 bowling bags and a coat taken. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Parkgate Road – Vauxhall Vivaro, parked in car park of ‘Craxton Wood Hotel’ has front quarter nearside window smashed to gain entry. Apple Mac laptop and 2/3 segways taken.
  • Parkgate Road – Ford transit, whilst parked on car park of ‘Tudor Rose’ entered after drivers door bent back.  Tom Tom sat. nav., sunglasses, watch and Samsung Edge mobile taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Iveco Tipper van, parked at ‘Tomlinson Garage’ has locks removed to access vehicle.  4 chainsaws, 2 hedge cutters and chainsaw pads taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Ford Focus, parked outside address has offside wing mirror ripped off and thrown into nearby bushes and the glass removed from the nearside mirror by unknown offender/s.
Other incidents of note…
  • Robbery - Pooltown Road - At approx. 9.45pm on Sunday 2nd September three unknown male offenders, dressed in dark clothing with their faces covered, entered the ‘Cost Cutter’ store. After threatening staff they stole money from the tills and safe, as well as a quantity of cigarettes. They have then left the area in the direction of Sutton Way in an old style Vauxhall Astra.
  • Arson – Church Street – Rubbish in alleyway accessed from Church Street set alight.
