Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
28th September to 6th October 2018
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Rear garden of property entered and a window and door have been smashed to gain entry into the property. Not known what has been taken at this time. 
  • Rossmore
  • Wilkinson Street – Entry gained into property by smashing double glazed dining room window.  Access gained into bedroom and phone and charger taken. 
  • Neston
  • Shakespeare Road – Side window of flat approached and window smashed in an possible attempt to gain entry.  Dog starts barking and offender runs off.
  • St. Pauls
  • Alvanley Road – After entry has been gained into communal area of flats the front door to a ground floor flat has been kicked open to gain entry.  Untidy search made within and PS4 and controller taken. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cromwell Road – Large electrical transformer within substation building on old ‘Epic’ site has tonne of copper wiring taken.  This has required a substantial amount of work to have been carried out to drain off oil to access the wiring. 
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Neston
  • Breezehill Road – Front window of property smashed.
  • Netherpool
  • Overpool Road – 3 unknown youths use bodily force to damage bollards to rear of shops.
  • Overpool Road – Rear door of ‘Sandwich Express’ spray painted with yellow paint, some of which has gone over onto the neighbouring property.
  • St. Pauls
  • Overpool Road – Back gate to residential property damaged by unknown means.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Civic Way – Unsuccessful attempt made to gain entry into council car park pay and display machines.
  • Wellington Road – GTech electric bike in white taken from cycle racks outside ‘Aldi’ after security lock cut off. 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Roof to Hooton Hotel accessed by unknown means and quantity of lead removed.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Whyte 801 mountain bike in grey taken from cycle rack at 'UCEA' after securing lock cut off.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Thornton Road – Renault Clio has plants, mud and eggs thrown at car.
  • Cheshire Oaks – Vauxhall Insignia, parked on car park has window smashed. 
  • Neston
  • Chester High Road – Saab has IPhone, IPad, wallet and cash taken from vehicle by unknown means. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Wing mirror kicked off vehicle. – No further details. 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Badger Bait – Suzuki Splash has the same tyres punctured on 2 separate occasions.
  • Talbot Avenue – Ford Fiesta found with puncture to rear tyre having been slashed with an unknown implement.-
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Broadlake – Audi A6 has front near side tyre punctured by a sharp object having been stabbed into the tyre wall. – Neighbour has previously had VW Beetle tyre punctured in same manner 2 weeks previously but this was not reported.
  • St. Pauls
  • Rossmore Gardens – Whilst driving along road a rock has been thrown which has made contact with vehicle causing damage. – No vehicle details at this time.
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way – Fiat Punto has wing mirror kicked off by unknown male riding past on a bike. 
Other incidents of note…
  • Overpool Road – Cat shot with pellet gun.
