Reports of recent suspicious activity on the Whitby Ward

Two reports have been received during the week of suspicious activity within our ward area of Whitby.

Lundy Drive

At approximately 1.10pm, on Tuesday 12th February a resident became aware of an unknown male knocking on the front door.  They did not answer it and before the male left he was seen to look through the windows.  He did not appear to knock at any other addresses within the immediate area.

From speaking to neighbours it appeared that the male had called at another address and when spoken to stated he was enquiring as to whether they wanted their grass cutting.  This property did not have any grass.

The only description of the male was that he was wearing a green jumper.

Bradwall Close

Upon returning home at approximately 8.30 pm, on Tuesday 12th February the resident noticed a persons shadow at the side of their property.  As they approached the driveway an unknown female walked out of it.  When asked what they were doing they simply scurried past and went off in the direction of Pooltown Road.

The female was described as having curly hair which was tied back in a ponytail, having glasses and wearing a long winter coat with a fluffy hood.

Upon checking their property nothing appeared out of place at the address.
