Increase in burglaries

Alert message sent 11/03/2019 16:06:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hi all,

Alsager has received an increase in residential burglaries. The incidents have related to thefts from garden sheds and items were stolen. Please ensure you report any incidents of a similar nature to 101, or to provide any information, as small as it may be, it’s worth reporting. For example, any suspicious behaviour, that is out of the ordinary. We as PCSO’s can provide reassurance to those who have become a victim and will be providing visibility patrols.

Please ensure your sheds/ properties are always locked. You could consider lighting as a deterrent, or CCTV for additional security. Please look out for one another, and if you have a lonely neighbour, perhaps knock on to ensure they are OK.

On a positive note: We received positive feedback in regards to how young people of Alsager helped support a broken down vehicle. Regardless of the on-goings in Alsager, there are fantastic residents who work hard for their community and the positives are certainly stronger than negatives.

Thank you and we hope you have a wonderful week!
