Alert message sent 10/04/2019 13:50:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Macclesfield Local Policing Unit- Congleton
This is to inform you that unfortunately there has been a series of theft from motor vehicles reported to police from keyless entry cars from the following locations:
  • Danebridge Place, Congleton occurred overnight from 7th-8th April police incident IML368522.
  • Galloway Green occurred overnight from 4th-5th April IML 365776.
  • Biggs Way occurred 5th April 11:30-13:30pm IML 366035
If you have a keyless entry car or van, think about how you store your key at home. Keeping your fob out of sight is not enough – thieves only need to get near to the key to amplify the signal. Keep both sets of keys in a container or pouch which blocks the signal from the fob.

If you have CCTV please check it for the times quoted above as it may help with lines of enquiry.
If you have seen any suspicious vehicles, persons or have any other information, please contact us via 101 quoting the above incident numbers.
