News Bulletin
Runcorn Local Policing Unit, Halton Brook

April 2019
Local Crime
April has shown a marked decrease in reported incidents on the beat area which is great news. There have still been a small number of vehicle related crimes, damage to and theft from a vehicle. Some good CCTV has been collected and is being viewed to identify offenders. A couple of pushbikes were stolen from the Grange Academy again CCTV is being collected for officers to view and deal with.
Residents are reminded to make sure they keep their vehicles locked and don’t leave any valuables on view. If you need to lock your pushbike up then consider using a ‘D’ style lock as chains can be cut through.
There have been a small number of reports of off road bike activity. Unfortunately no descriptions of bikes or riders at this point to follow up. We are still appealing to residents to contact us in confidence either via the social media private messaging channels, via 101 or at our LPU email address RUNCORN.LPU@CHESHIRE.PNN.POLICE.UK if they have any information about nuisance motorbikes.
Roads Policing
Tru-Cam speed enforcement has been conducted a number of times on Halton Road and Boston Avenue. There have only been a small number of activations which is good and shows the message is getting across.
Community information
The ‘positively me’ youth club is up and running at the community center on Mondays and Tuesdays. It runs from 4-6pm. You can get more details from the café in the community center.

I still have two packs available to issue to Neighbourhood Watch schemes in Halton Brook. If any members of Cheshire Alert would like to set-up and become a coordinator of a watch scheme then we as the police will offer support and advice in any way we can, my e-mail is attached at the bottom of this newsletter and I look forward to hearing from anyone who wishes to set-up a scheme that we can get involved with.
