Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
5th to 19th May 2019
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Whitby
  • Maple Grove – Entry gained into rear garden of property by scaling neighbouring fence.  Lock barrels snapped on conservatory doors and barrel in kitchen lock snapped to gain entry into the property.  Tidy search made within and purse and car keys taken.  Grey Mazda CX-3, DC66 LYO then taken off the driveway.
  • Woodland Road – Banging heard to door of flat above commercial premises during the early hours of the morning.  Occupant shouted out and male was heard to state ‘sorry wrong house’ before leaving area. 
  • Grange
  • Regent Street – Entry gained into property by breaking small side window. No details of property taken at this time. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • South Road – 4 off road KTM motorcycles taken after entry gained into business compound.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Electric Vamoof bike, secured in bike shed outside ‘Asda’ has front fork damaged by unknown means.
  • Rossmore
  • Fleming Street – Bodily pressure used to force open locked side gate to rear of property causing damage to locks and latch.
  • M53 – Between J9 and J8 a section of wooden fencing which runs alongside of motorway set alight. 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Plantation Drive – Rear garden entered and canvas cover slashed with an unknown implement.
  • Netherpool
  • Naylor Green – Brick thrown at window causing it to scratch.
  • St. Pauls
  • Pound Road – Accelerant poured onto front door before it was set alight.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Precinct – Window to flat above shops smashed by object thrown by group of youths.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Rossmore
  • Percival Road – Orange Carrera Silaca with black writing on taken.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Whitby Road – Grey Lexmoto FMX, MC18 YSN, parked on grounds of ‘The Ellesmere Port C of E College’. – CCTV shows 2 individuals, using another moped involved in the theft.
  • Whitby
  • Maple Grove –Grey Mazda CX-3, DC66 LYO then taken from driveway after keys obtained during a burglary.
  • Rossmore
  • Joseph Groom Towers – Red Suzuki 600, V664 PCX, parked outside location taken. – Vehicle located nearby having been ‘hotwired’. 
  • Neston
  • Ringway – 2 separate incidents reported during time frame of this bulletin:
    • Blue Yamaha YZF R125, WL11 EXO, Parked on residential street taken by unknown means.
    • Yellow Ford Transit, MF61 OHG, parked outside residential property entered by unknown means and taken. – Vehicle recovered by Police in Coventry.
  • Parkgate
  • The Parade – Red Yamaha MT 125 abs, DF65 FZN, parked on carpark to ‘the Boathouse’ taken by unknown means. – CCTV shows 2 males using another motorbike taking the vehicle. – Vehicle found abandoned in Nocturum, Wirral.
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Suzuki GSX, secured in motor store at ‘Vauxhalls’ found with damage to steering lock in an unsuccessful attempt to steal it. Registration plates, showing V498 KCA removed and taken from vehicle. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Strawberry
  • Juniper Drive – Toyota Yaris found with denting and scratching around the petrol cap area.
  • Rossmore
  • Shephard Close – Seat Ibiza, parked on residential road scratched along bodywork. 
  • Parkgate
  • Cross Street – Ford Focus has windscreen smashed. – Named suspect.
  • Netherpool
  • Rossbank Road – 2 vehicles parked on industrial estate near to ‘Lookers’ damaged by unknown offenders:
    • Vauxhall Vivaro, has front of bodywork scratched by unknown means.
    • Vauxhall Mokka, over 2 day period has rear windscreen wiper snapped off and body work of vehicle scratched.
