Crime update –
  • 19/05 at 4am we received a call for an attempted garage break at a property on Pochard Rise, 2 males on mopeds tried to force open the garage door but did not gain access. We later received a second call again from Pochard Rise stating the same thing had happened to them. Nothing was taken from either attempt.
  • 20/05 at 5pm a report of a successful garage break reported in Marina Village whereby a bicycle has been stolen. There are no signs of forced entry to the garage, the bicycle stolen was a black Hexagon mountain bike.
  • During May there have been a couple of reports of youths causing ASB at the play park off Broadfields, suggesting that underage drinking is taking place. This area will be looked into during late shifts.
  • Large increase in off-road bike jobs all over Norton North, in particular Town Park and Stockham Lane. Op Scrambler is still running at Runcorn where we are appealing to the public to provide us with information as to where the motorbikes are being stored and who are riding them. I have also asked for assistance from the police issue off-road bikes team.
