Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
6th to 15th June 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Stoke Gardens – Flat entered via insecure door.  Cash removed from purse. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – 3 containers on the car park area of ‘David Lloyd’ have their padlocks cut off during the overnight period to gain entry.  Nothing believed to have been taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Poole Hall Road – Fence line between Poole Hall Business Park and Leven Walk cut through to gain access to area.  CCTV cameras disabled and offender then smash ground floor office window to enter premises.  3 laptops, digital television and 47” wall mounted television taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Chester Road – Small side window to ‘Red Roosters’ smashed and rear fire exit door found open.  Unknown what has been taken at this time.
  • St. Pauls
  • Chester Road – Male offender has smashed the top glass panel in the rear door of ‘St. Pauls’ church hall to gain access.  Kitchen area entered and cupboards opened and food items removed and discarded on floor.  Male disturbed and ran off in the direction of the golf club. – Male arrested. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Slackswood Close – White Whyte mountain bike taken after lock smashed off shed. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • Old Quay Lane – Shed has door ripped off and broken apart to gain entry. Makita power drill and bits taken.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Mill Lane – Entry into detached garage via insecure side door.  Lawn mower, battery and charger taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Hillside Drive – Entry gained into rear garden and door to shed has lock forced to gain entry. Ferguson petrol lawnmower taken.
  • Sutton
  • Broadland Road – 3 separate properties have been targeted in road during time period of this bulletin:
    • Garage entered via an insecure door and 2 bags and items from freezer taken.  Bags were found discarded in neighbouring garden.
    • Garage entered after keys left in lock. Food items taken and others strewn around garage.
    • Chris Boardman bike removed from garden shed via the roof.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Matterhorn Road – 4 unknown males smashed garden ornament and running off.
  • St. Pauls
  • Sutton Way – Door to storage area within communal stairwell damaged and paint thrown around area.
  • Grange
  • Stamford Street – Youths on allotment has smashed glass in greenhouse and entered a couple of sheds on the allotment site.  Unsure if anything has been taken at this time.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cheshire Oaks – Whilst using toilets a ring, within a Pandora bag taken after unknown offender has reached under door.
  • Wellington Road – Wallet dropped outside ‘Jolleys Pet Store’ picked up and taken by unknown male.
  • Whitby
  • Stanney Lane – Whilst in gym at ‘Ellesmere Port Sports Village’ purse has been left on the side and whilst back turned someone has taken it. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Hampton Crescent – A number of radiators and copper boiler taken from side of house.
  • Parkgate
  • The Looms – Flower basket taken and in the process it has been placed onto the bonnet of a Vauxhall Meriva causing scratching to the bonnet.
  • St. Pauls
  • Whetstone Hey – Insecure black and yellow Carrera Vulcan mountain bike taken from outside ‘Nathans Food & Wine’.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Milton Road – Citroen DS3 has car window smashed and Mac Pro book and tote bag taken.
  • Rossmore
  • Lower Mersey Street – Vauxhall Corsa, parked on car park of the ‘Holiday Inn’ has front registration plate, DA04 XEM taken by 2 unknown males who have driven off in a turquoise Vauxhall Corsa. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – Nissan NV200 has passenger window smashed and dash cam, sat nav and purse taken from within.
  • Sutton
  • Bebington Road – Ford Transit entered by unknown means.  Honda jet wash taken.
  • Horstone Road – Ford Transit Custom, parked on residential driveway entered by unknown means. Fishing equipment and tools taken. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Dundee Court – Ford Focus has 2 tyres damaged on consecutive days by unknown offender.
  • Wellington Road – Peugeot 108, parked in car park near to ‘Asda’ scratched along the side.
  • Whitby
  • Deeside – VW Van has wing mirror smashed off by group of passing youths.
Other incidents of note…

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Grange
  • Sutton Way - Lexmoto FMR 125, MW16 LFE, reported stolen on last weeks bulletin recovered parked outside residential address taken.
