Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
16th to 24th June 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Handa Drive – 2 males disturbed in garden next to shed.  Upon checking CCTV one male had opened the rear door to the property and stuck his head inside. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Burton Road – Lock damaged on door and screwdriver marks found around it.  No entry gained.
  • Sutton
  • Hope Farm Road – Lock forced on door to flat to gain access.  Nothing believed to have been taken at this time. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Chester Road – Disused building to rear of ‘Nationwide’ has windows smashed and damage caused in order to gain access to what is now a derelict building.
  • Gleneagles Road – Upper floor windows on ‘Marquis’ public house, now empty smashed and boundary security fencing bent. 
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Whitby
  • Fern Road – Entry gained into garage via insecure door. Fox quick release coupler for garden tools taken. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 

Little Neston and Burton
  • Mudhouse Lane – Entry gained in to garage by unknown means. Various power tools, including cordless drill and impact screwdriver taken.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Cleveland Drive – Door to garage forced open to gain entry.  Yellow hybrid Boardman bike taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Moorland Road – 2 outbuilding entered after access gained by unscrewing locks and door hinges. Unknown what has been taken at this time.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Enfield Road – Windows smashed at property by group of youths who have then run off. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Netherpool
  • Naylor Green – Brick thrown through ground floor flat window.
  • Sutton
  • Childer Crescent – Brick used to smash living room window and glass panel in front door.
  • Loxdale Drive – Stack of newspapers, left at rear of shops set alight.
  • Sutton Way – 2 front windows to flat smashed.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Iphone 7, left unattended on counter, in food court taken.
  • Briarfield Road – White Carrera mountain bike taken from address. – Named suspect.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Old Vicarage Road – Petrol lawn mower, strimmer, edging shears and other garden equipment taken from side of house.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • New Bridges Road - Off road Red Honda CRF 150, taken after group of males have threatened rider.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Parkgate
  • The Looms – Group of youths walking down road just before midnight seen trying to open the boot of the vehicle.  No entry gained.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – Insecure van entered and 2 tool boxes taken. – Male and female arrested. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Arrow Court – Vauxhall Corsa is dented by unknown person who has run over the vehicle.
  • Rossmore
  • Jacks Wood Avenue – Vauxhall Zafira, parked on residential road scratched along rear door and boot area. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • New Road – Suzuki Alto, parked in residential parking area has deep scratching made into rear passenger door by unknown implement.
  • St. Pauls
  • Broxton Road – Citroen Picasso, parked on residential road keyed along the side of vehicle.
