Suspicious activity –

On Saturday 22nd June we received a couple of calls regarding Murdishaw Health Centre stating that the shutters were jammed opened. The Concern was this was an attempt break however this is not the case. The shutters were faulty and have now been repaired.

On Friday 28th June at 18:45hrs we received a report of a male exposing himself to 2 young females in the Cambourne Close/Stockham Lane area. A search was made of the area however the male was not located. The suspect is described as a white male, 5’8”, short dark hair, wearing sunglasses, dark jeans, white t-shirt, leather jacket. Any info on this please contact 101 quoting IML-440967.

ASB –

Off-road bike issues continue throughout Norton North and all of Runcorn. Further steps we have taken throughout June:

Op Tuck was a week of action targeting off-road bikes and the recent spike in motorbike thefts in Runcorn. Burglary team and beat officers were working nights and lates targeting hotspot locations, unfortunately due to poor weather conditions it wasn’t as successful as anticipated. 2 males were arrested and a stolen bike was seized along with a number of Section 59 warning notices issued.

A bike and rider was tagged with Selecta DNA spray in the Town Park Area. I have also been training other PCSOs to use the tagging agent.

Sgt Watson who is the lead on Op Scrambler has had a meeting with Ollie Clay from the local newspaper and a full report of Op Scrambler is being put together to be disseminated in due course.

I have requested that a series of public meetings be held on all affected areas with councilors and police (including a Sgt or Insp and a member of the Op Scrambler team) in attendance to discuss the actions that we are taking and also to take suggestions from the public.

Schools –

PCSO Jennerway (youth engagement PCSO) attended Gorsewood primary school to deliver a talk about bullying and the laws around recording and sharing video clips that can incite violence between pupils.
