Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
22 to 27 September 2019
  
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cromwell Road – Garage entered by unknown means and green and white Yamaha KX450F taken.  2 males, described as teenagers seen pushing the bike away from the area. – Bike later found burnt out on Rother Drive.
  • Whitby
  • Maple Grove – Entry gained into rear garden and hinged side of shed door forced to gain entry.  A white mountain bike was taken.
  • Mansfield Road – Shed entered and 2 mountain bikes taken. White and black Specialized Enduro and white Giant. – The bike taken from the shed on Maple Grove was left at this address. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Sutton
  • Church Lane – Attempt made to enter detached garage by snapping off asbestos cement roofing panels leaving large hole in roof.  Prior to entering the garage, the home owner has woken and disturbed the offenders who have left the area.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Warwick Court – Window smashed by group of youths.
  • Rossmore
  • Church Street – Male offender throws brick through window of property before driving off in a silver vehicle. – Named suspect. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • St. Pauls
  • Maple Avenue – Window to front of property chipped by unknown object.
  • Grange
  • Pooltown Road – Fencing damaged by unknown male jumping over it.
  • Faraday Road – External wire for Virgin media pulled out and cut. 
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Briardale Road – Ornamental lamppost taken from garden.
  • Sutton
  • Fenwick Road – Male and female seen removing copper piping and brass cuttings from front garden.  When disturbed by home owner the pair have driven off in a faded red Ford Transit towards the A41.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Cromwell Road – Lime green and white Yamaha KX450F taken early during the day found burnt out on Rother Drive. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hadlow Lane – Blue Ford Transit, SL60 YTF, parked at roadside taken by unknown means. 
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Jacks Woods Avenue – Ford Fiesta has unknown substance poured over it causing damage to paint work. 
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Damhead Lane – HGV from ‘Aldi Distribution Centre’ has windscreen smashed by object thrown by group of youths, possibly fired from a catapult. – 3rd incident in as many days where delivery vehicles have been targeted in and around this area.
Other incidents of note…

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Flatt Lane – Whilst walking along road using mobile phone a group of males, on push bikes ride past and snatch it.  The female grabs hold of the male who drops the phone.  She is then punched to the face as the group ride off.
