Burglary Aroiund top of Ditchfield Road

Alert message sent 04/10/2019 14:17:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hi all,

In the past week there has been three incidents relating to burglary other than a dwelling. This means a burglary in a residential/domestic area (Eg house) however not inside the property but in an outhouse or shed. On these occasions all properties targeted have been to sheds, taking pedal bikes and tools. Usually happening from around 10pm till early mornings.

This message is not intended to scare but to advise you all on security. If you have an item that does not need to be in the shed/outhouse etc, then perhaps keep it secure inside your property. If this can not happen look towards hiding either behind something or putting something over it, this to stop opportunists from finding items easier. In addition further secure your item down with maybe a bike lock or other type of lock and secure the shed itself.

If you notice anything suspicious or have In fact been burgled yourself, do not hesitate to report us. We may not be able to find the criminal but may help in other ways.

On my behalf I will conduct further patrols in the area to try and reduce the crime, during the certain times.

Thank you, PCSO 22917 Jack O'Neill
