To All,

We have had a report of a scam recently whereby in excess of £2000 has been withdrawn/spent on the victims bank cards. The victim was approached at Tesco, Manchester road Northwich by the suspected offenders who claimed that the victim's vehicle had been damaged.
The offenders then asked directions to a vets.

It is then suspected that another person has then removed cards from the victim's purse. It is also suspected that the PIN was obtained whilst the victim was at the checkout.
Enquires are ongoing.

We are asking anyone who has any information that may assist the police with the investigation to make contact on 101 quoting incident number IML 523411.

Please be vigilant , When using bank cards please be mindful of who is near you and ensure you cover the keypad/ screen when entering your PIN.
We have has previous scams whereby offenders have used distractions such as asking for directions in order to steal valuables/ bank cards.
Ensure that you're aware of where your belongings are on your person before attempting to assist anyone who may appear to require help.
