Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
9 to 16 November 2019
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • St. Pauls
  • Mill Lane – Attempt made to access property via front door leaving scratch marks around the area of the lock.  An insecure shed has also been entered to the rear but nothing taken.
  • Sutton
  • Ascot Drive – Neighbours to property have heard banging and upon going out to investigate seen 4 males running away.  Upon checking the property the side door has footprints on where it has been kicked and the rear kitchen window and patio window have been smashed. It appears that the offenders have been disturbed by the neighbours prior to entering the property. 
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Hooton Road – Padlock from gate to parcel delivery warehouse removed to allow access to site.  Door to warehouse forced open by unknown means and quantity of parcels taken.  Offenders were using a red Renault traffic van.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • St. Pauls
  • Briardale Road – Outer pane of double glazed window lounge window smashed.
  • Sutton
  • Overpool Road – Door kicked by unknown youths causing glass panel to smash.
  • Hope Farm Road – Plastic ornamental tree knocked over and bent by a ball which had been kicked into the garden.
  • Shaw Drive – Windows smashed at property. Over past few weeks other damage has occurred to the doors at the property which had not been reported until now.
  • Grange
  • Hope Farm Road – Male smashing windows of property. – Male arrested and charged.
  • Princes Road – Small glass panel in back door smashed.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Wellington Road – Whilst loading vehicle with shopping handbag removed from disability scooter.
  • Thornton Road – Leisure camper battery taken from driveway.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road - 5x bundles of roofing batons taken and loaded into a white flat back truck.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Parkgate Road – Audi A1, whilst parked on car park of ‘Tudor Rose’ has alarm activated after 2 males were seen to be tampering with the vehicle.  Males have run off and no damage has been caused to the vehicle.
  • Neston
  • Ringway – Hyundai i10 found to have front registration plate, displaying GY10 LKG missing.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Somerville Crescent – Mercedes E220 keyed along entire length of the nearside.
  • St. Pauls
  • Woodchurch Lane – Mini Cooper has tyres slashed.
