Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
19 to 27 March 2020
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:
  • Parkgate
  • Brooklands Road – Entry gained via front door.  Alarm has sounded and disturbed offender/s.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:
  • Sutton
  • Pooltown Road – Hinges removed from garage door to gain entry. Four fishing rods, reels and a rucksack containing bite alarms and other equipment taken.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Church Street – Brick thrown through window.
  • Elm Street – Recycling bin set alight.
  • Neston
  • Shakespeare Road – Rear kitchen window smashed.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Chester High Road – Stones thrown at window causing glass to crack. – Named suspect.
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

  • Strawberry
  • Laurelwood Drive – Handbag temporarily left unattended on driveway taken by delivery driver.
  • Rossmore
  • Merseyton Road – Cast iron garden table and set of four chairs taken from communal garden.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Gilera Runner 125, MK15 YSR taken from outside address by two males on a black moped. – Recovered in stream on Mill Lane.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Highfield Road – Insecure Renault Espace entered and blue disable permit taken.
  • Parkgate
  • Beechways Drive – Insecure Land Rover Range Rover entered and searched.  Two pairs of sunglasses, Rayban and Vogue taken.
  • North Parade – Toyota, parked on car park of ‘Old Baths’ has rear quarter light smashed and an unsuccessful attempt made to disable vehicle locks.  No entry gained.
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • Heath Lane – VW T5, parked on car park at ‘Brook Meadow Hotel’ has rear and side window smashed to gain entry.  Quantity of tools taken.
  • St. Pauls
  • Eccleston Avenue – Vauxhall Zafira taxi has side window smashed.  Wallet, driving licence, taxi badge and taxi clip taken.
  • Overpool Road – Vauxhall Crossland has passenger side window smashed and handbag taken from within. – Possibility offender was using a pushbike as handle bar marks left on the vehicle.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Enfield Road – Black line sprayed along the side of Vauxhall Corsa.
  • Rochester Drive – VW (no further details at this time) set alight. Completely burnt out.
  • The Oval – Both wing mirrors damaged on Peugeot 106 parked at roadside.
  • Whitby
  • Wyedale – Citroen Dispatch has passenger wing mirror bent back causing glass to smash. – Named suspect.
  • Sutton
  • Sutton Way – Ford Fiesta, parked at roadside has rear drivers side window smashed.
