Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Hello resident,
please see the below information on a current scam.  Information supplied by Halton Trading Standards.
Scam emails – You’ve been left money!
Halton Trading Standards wants to warn consumers that the below email is a scam. It is also highly likely any similar email stating you have won the lottery (which you have not entered) will also be a scam. These sorts of emails are merely a way of stealing your personal details and bank details. Simply just delete the email.
This is a case of the old adage, ‘If it sounds too good to be true, then it probably is’.
