Scam Warning: Your windows have been cleaned………
Halton Trading Standards have received reports from residents about getting slips through their doors suggesting their windows have been cleaned and that they now need to pay. These slips ask for an online bank transfer to be made rather than cash, due to Covid-19.
Residents believe that their windows have not been cleaned and thus no service has been provided. If you have not agreed to have your windows cleaned (or any other services), then there is no contract and therefore no need to pay.

If you or somebody you know has been caught out by a scam or fraud please contact one of our specialist officers, Linda or Sue on 0151 511 8785 or 0151 511 8775, who are already working with people in Halton who have lost thousands of pounds to scams.
If you need advice on anything else please contact the Citizens Advice Consumer Helpline  or 0808 223 1133

Kind regards
PCSO 21122 Maggie Sumner
