Avoiding Scams

Alert message sent 02/09/2020 08:47:00

Information sent on behalf of Cheshire Constabulary

Good morning,

There's been an increase in scammers claiming to be from HMRC offering financial help as a result of coronavirus. If you receive a text, email or call claiming to be from HMRC that asks you to click on a link or give info such as your name, credit card or bank details, it's a SCAM.

Please be vigilant and report anything suspicious to 101 or via the Cheshire Police website.

Kind regards,

Ben
