Ellesmere Port & Neston Police News Bulletin
19 August – 5 September 2021
 
If you have any CCTV, dash cam footage, etc., that you think may have captured something of relevance in relation to any of the below incidents, further information such as dates and times can be provided.
 
Burglary
Incidents reported relating to RESIDENTIAL property:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Houghton Road – House entered via insecure ground floor bathroom window.  Search made within and car keys taken to a white Mercedes convertible, MA14 ZKV which was then been taken from the driveway. – Vehicle located on Thornton Road.  Male arrested and charge.
  • Rossmore
  • Slackswood Close – Entry via insecure rear door.  Drills and other tools taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Marlowe Road – Window in rear door smashed to gain entry to property. Untidy search throughout property and quantity of power tools taken.  Exit via front door, which was left open.
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Berwick Road – entry gained into property by forcing front door.  Search made within.  No details of items taken at this time.
  • Netherpool
  • Matterhorn Drive – During the early hours of the morning, whilst sleeping in the lounge, occupant by the sound of the window creaking. The curtains then opened, causing the occupant to scream and the offender to jump back out of the window.
  • Ferguson Avenue – Entry gained via insecure upper floor window. Quantity of jewellery taken.
  • St. Pauls
  • Waverton Road – Upon returning to property occupant sees male running through gate from property.  Male shouts ‘I’M SORRY’ before disappearing over fencing.  Damage found to the casing on the front door in what is suspected to have been an unsuccessful attempt to gain access into the property.
  • Greenfield Road – Entry gained into property via conservatory window.  Keys taken and Range Rover, F2 MWL taken from driveway.
Incidents reported relating to BUSINESS premises:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • York Road – Rear door of GP practice approached and an unsuccessful attempt made to jemmy open the rear causing damage to the lock.  No entry gained.
Incidents reported relating to OUTBUILDINGS/GARDENS:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 

Rossmore
Firenza Avenue – Shed entered by unknown means.  Lawnmower and strimmer taken.

ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Ledsham and Manor
  • Hooton Road – New build site entered and padlock broken storage container. Items taken:
    • Yellow Wacker plate, covered in Alpine stockers.
    • Red Hildi concrete saw, covered in Eurogold stickers.
    • Red Hildi Laser, covered in Eurogold stickers.
    • Orange Stihl saw, covered in Alpine stickers.
  • St. Pauls
  • Whetstone Hey – Access gained into garage via roof. Silver and red Triumph Street Triple RS, K19 BOE, Husqvarna 450 FC18 motocross and tools taken. – 2 males have since been arrested but property still outstanding.
Criminal Damage
Incidents reported relating to criminal damage, with the exclusion of damage to vehicles:

  • Rossmore
  • Station Road – Derelict building set alight.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Henley Road – Intoxicated male, whilst in ‘Lady Hamilton PH’ threw a glass at a CCTV monitor causing damage. – Male arrested.
  • Neston
  • Olive Road / Gladstone Road – Several refuse containers set alight in rear alleyway.
  • Parkgate
  • Bridge Street – Front shop window smashed.
  • Brooklands Road – Fencing damaged.
  • St. Pauls
  • Parklands Gardens – Paint thrown over 2 addresses.
  • Grange
  • Princes Road – Communal door to flats kicked causing damage.
Theft
Incidents reported relating to theft, with the exclusion of shop lifting & vehicle theft:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Coliseum Way – Unknown offenders cut padlocks from 2 arcade games within ‘Tenpin’ and remove cash trays.
  • Downing Close – Bright pink Specialised Rock Hopper, with purple handlebars and mudguards taken from garden after unknown offenders have climbed over wall and opened rear gate.
  • Coliseum Way – Insecure black Trek Rosco 6, left leaning against outer wall of ‘MacDonalds’ taken.
  • Strawberry
  • New Chester Road – Having fallen from Trek Marlin bike, victim approached by an unknown male who has asked him for drugs before taking bike.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Denhall Lane – 2m section of fencing around field removed.
  • Hill Close – Radiator taken from skip by 2 unknown males in a white van.
  • Grange
  • Pooltown Road – Parcel left outside front door taken by unknown person.
Vehicle Crime
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT OF motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Houghton Road – White Mercedes convertible, MA14 ZKV taken after keys obtained during a burglary. – Vehicle located on Thornton Road.  Male arrested and charge.
  • Wolverham Road – Silver Vauxhall Meriva, SB10 ZGK, parked at roadside taken by unknown means.
  • Coliseum Way – Orange Honda CBR, KS16 UKC, parked to the rear of the business premises taken by unknown means.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Little Neston and Burton
  • Moorland Avenue – 2 unknown male approach address on a scooter/moped and remove an orange Triumph Tiger 1050, DX58 BJJ, pushing it away in the direction of Mellock Lane.
  • Netherpool
  • North Road – Whilst being loaded with furniture on ‘Evans Business Park’ insecure Mercedes Sprinter Box van, LK63 WGU driven away.
  • St. Pauls
  • Whetstone Hey - Silver and red Triumph Street Triple RS, K19 BOE and Husqvarna 450 FC18 motocross taken from a garage which had been accessed via roof. – 2 males have since been arrested but property still outstanding.
  • Greenfield Road – Range Rover, F2 MWL taken from driveway after keys obtained during a burglary.
  • Princes Road – White Ford Transit minibus, YS15 JFZ taken from ‘Madisons’ car park.
Incidents reported relating to theft / attempt THEFT FROM motor vehicles:

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • New Grosvenor Road – Renault Captur, parked within grounds of ‘Hollymere’ has both front and rear registration plates, showing DA20 SWW taken.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Willaston and Thornton
  • School Lane – Skoda Fabia has both front and rear registration plates, showing DC18 WVT taken.
  • Netherpool
  • Gowy Court – Both front and rear registration plates, showing NX65 ORY taken from Ford Transit.
Incidents reported relating to DAMAGE TO motor vehicles:
 
ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Ellesmere Port Town
  • Woolam Avenue – All four tyres slashed on Renault Clio.
  • Princes Road – Peugeot 207 scratched on wheel arch and door.
  • Stoke Gardens – Tyres slashed on BMW parked at address.
ELLESMERE PORT WEST 
  • Neston
  • Mayfield Gardens – Rear tailgate of Renault Clio scratched.
  • St. Pauls
  • Woodchurch Lane – Side of Hyundai sprayed with black paint.
  • Sutton Way – VW Golf, parked on residential street has windscreen smashed.
Other Incidents of note….

ELLESMERE PORT EAST 
  • Rossmore
  • Indigo Road – Stolen vehicle from Manchester, Black BMW Coupe, PF53 KRX, recovered from ‘Indigo Business Park’.
