Chester Voluntary Action is a local support and development organisation.  They help the development of a vibrant, thriving and sustainable local voluntary, community and faith sector which has a strong and effective voice and successfully meets the diverse and changing needs of the local community.

The City of Chester Male Voice Choir

The City of Chester Male Voice Choir were formed in 1941 and until 1999 they were known as the Cestrian Male Voice Choir. The choir has established itself, both nationally and internationally, as a major force in the world of male voice choirs.

Singing together for carers

Carers meet twice a month for a relaxed and enjoyable singing session, with a chance to have a cup of tea and a chat, and support each other with their caring responsibilities. The group meets at Quaker Meeting House, Union Walk, Frodsham Street, CH1 3LF. Singing Together is for people:
  • Who care for a relative, friend or neighbour
  • Who want to try something new
  • Who enjoy having a sing-along
  • Who would like to meet new friends over a cup of tea
Events include:
  • Sessions led by Musical Moments
  • Social Sing-along Sessions
  • Refreshments and good company
